Installed self-consumption photovoltaic power generation system on the roof of the Manufacturing Building, Technical Center, and Monodukuri Center

On July 1, 2024, a self-consumption photovoltaic power generation system installed on the roof of the Manufacturing Building, Technical Center, and Monodukuri Center of Denso Trim Co., Ltd., started operation. On the day of the event, we held a ceremony to celebrate the start of solar power generation with the attendance of our partner companies, Cenergy Corporation and Act Corporation.

・Introduction of solar power generation system in our company
Photovoltaic power generation panels were installed on the rooftops of the Manufacturing Building, Technical Center, and Monodukuri Center.
In particular, we have avoided the installation of a rooftop water sprinkling system at the Manufacturing Building because of the risk that the load capacity of the building could be exceeded during snowfall. However, we have made it possible to install a rooftop water sprinkling system by melting snow, which we used to reduce the air conditioning load at the plant.
We were also able to install a mega solar power generator (approximately 1 MW) by installing a fence-type solar power generator between the factory and the employee parking lot to secure additional power generation.

The effect is minus 1,181,824kWh/Y (cost merit: minus 15,245,530 yen/Y).
It can supply about 7% of our company’s annual electricity use.

Recently, the external environment is changing rapidly, such as the Japanese government’s declaration of carbon neutrality in 2050 and the Denso Group’s declaration of carbon neutrality in 35, and the importance of activities to reduce CO2 emissions is increasing day by day.
In the future, in addition to our existing “energy saving” activities, we will continue to focus on activities that create new energy and “energy creation.”
