We have been designated as an ‘ACTION 38’ model workplace for promotion.
On April 10, our company was designated by the Yokkaichi Nishi Police Station in Mie Prefecture as an “ACTION 38” model workplace for promotion.
“ACTION 38” is an initiative that uses PR stickers and other materials featuring a symbol modeled on “38,” referring to Article 38 of Japan’s Road Traffic Act (priority for pedestrians at crosswalks, etc.). By encouraging “ACTION” to protect pedestrians starting in Mie Prefecture, the program aims to increase the stopping rate at unsignalized crosswalks and achieve zero traffic accidents involving pedestrians in crosswalks.
In addition, after work hours we partnered with the Traffic Division of the Yokkaichi Nishi Police Station and the Yokkaichi Nishi District Traffic Safety Association to conduct a roadside safety campaign, calling out to employees as they headed home. As an “ACTION 38” model workplace, we will continue to work company-wide to put pedestrian protection into practice and to further raise awareness of safe driving.
